Shawn Johnson

My hero is Shawn Johnson and she is a gymnast. She is my hero because she can do gymnastics, school, and community activities. She still manages to go to public school and she is on the honor roll. Shawn showed me that dreams do come true when you work really hard. Her dream is about to come true, when she most likely will go to the Olympics in August, 2008, in Beijing. Beijing is her coaches' hometown, and so it is extra special for Shawn.

Shawn is my idol and I love to watch her on TV and see all of her routines especially floor and beam. She has won every major all-around competition she has entered since she has been a senior. Shawn just got into the senior ranks at 15 years old. She has been in gymnastics since she was three. I think it is cool that she has become famous in the last year in gymnastics. She still thinks of herself as a regular kid. I would one day love to have my room covered with shelves of trophies and medals like her. I would love to have so many cool leotards. Shawn Johnson is my hero, and by far one of my favorite national gymnasts, since I have loved this sport.
