A hero to me is a person who sacrifices their life for others. A hero must have lots of confidence. A hero is selfless and a helpful person. A hero is also very responsible and honest. That is what a true hero is to me. I chose my dad, Jorge Deleon, as my hero.

My dad is laying down (home)

A sacrifice that my dad had to make was changing his job. It was a sacrifice, because my dad loved his job. He didn’t want a new job, because he was working with my uncle and it seemed easy for him. When he found out about a new job, he was excited that he would get more money. The new job involved traveling, so he was worried and didn’t know if he would really like to be traveling. It was hard for my dad, but he knew that it would be better if he got paid more. Then he could buy me and my family more things. That was a sacrifice my dad had to make for me and my family.

My dad has lots of confidence. He’s also very adventurous. One time, I threw my volleyball on top of the roof, I was really upset, and so my dad went on top of the roof and got it for me. I was surprised he wasn’t afraid or anything. I felt like he was superman, saving a cat from a tree or something.

My dad is selfless because he thinks about others before himself. He’s also very helpful. My dad always helps out setting the table for dinner and helps serve food for others. He makes sure everyone has their food, and then he starts eating. That is why my dad is selfless and helpful.
