Katharine Hepburn was an artist known for her acting in many classics. She had many challenges during her acting career but she overcame them. Katharine Hepburn was a determined and selfless person. She won many awards for her amazing work. As you can see, Katharine Hepburn was a very unique person.
Katharine Hepburn had a very interesting background. In her family, she had three brothers and two sisters. She and her siblings were all excellent athletes. She was closest to her oldest brother, Tom. Tom was the liveliest of all her siblings. Then, their family was struck by a horrible tragedy when her brother died on Easter. Because of that, Katharine was always moody, withdrawn and lonely. Some say that possibly it was her loneliness that strengthened her love for the theater. When Katharine Hepburn was ten, her parents decided to homeschool her. She had rigorous tutoring, which resulted in Katharine entering college before her 16th birthday. She attended Bryn Mawr, a women's college near Philadelphia. Katharine once told an interviewer, "I had the most wonderful childhood." In conclusion, Katharine Hepburn had a tragic but fascinating background.
In her lifetime, Katharine Hepburn had many accomplishments and contributions. During the Great Depression, Katharine Hepburn was making $75 per week at RKO Studios! This was an accomplishment because at the time people would be lucky if they made even $10 a week. She made a contribution to the community by entertaining others with her dramatic acting and equal flair of comedy. Katherine's first role was "The Big Pond". Since then, she got many other roles in movies or Broadway plays. She opened on Broadway in "The Philadelphia Story". One great accomplishment for her was starring in "Women of the Year" which was very successful. It had the most successful movie team in history! She also did many things for the community. She was an international known actress that starred in many popular and classic movies. She won many roles in a variety of different plays. Lastly, she taught us to be determined. She taught us to be determined because of her hard work in her career. As you can see, Katharine Hepburn made many accomplishments and contributions.
Although she had a great career in acting, Katharine still had many challenges and obstacles, like others, in her career. Her main challenge was stage fright. She mixed up lines, tripped, and starting talking faster and faster as she got more nervous. Also, she looked and acted unlike other actresses. Katharine Hepburn was afraid that the public would not like her tomboy figure. But she stayed determined to be who she was and she didn't like acting like someone she wasn't. In late 1962, her life was struck with a tragedy once again. This time her father died. To make matters worse, Spencer Tracy's health began to deteriorate quickly. Spencer Tracy was a close friend to Katharine and also acted in many movies with her. Katharine Hepburn quit acting for five years. Near the end of the five years, she slept in a small room close to Spencer's to hear him during the night. One night, Spencer got up to go to the kitchen. Then , Katharine followed him. When Katharine got there after following him, she found him slumped at the kitchen table. Once she touched him, Katharine knew he was gone. As you can see, Katharine Hepburn had many obstacles to overcome in her lifetime.
She had many challenges to overcome but during her lifetime, she also won many awards and recognition for her amazing work in her career. She won four Oscar nominations! Also, she won nine Academy Award nominations. She received her first Academy Award for " Morning Glory ". She received her fourth Academy Award from "On Golden Pond". In 1941, Katharine won Women of the Year for McCall's magazine. Finally, she was one of RKO's actresses. As you can see, Katharine Hepburn was very successful.
Katharine Hepburn had many qualities and traits. She was selfless, determined and independent. She was selfless because of her loyalty to her friend. Also, she stopped acting for five years just to take care of her friend because of his sickness. She even slept in a small room outside her friends' to hear him during the night. Next, she was determined because she had stage fright at the start of her career and got fired many times for forgetting lines, tripping, etc. because of her stage fright. Eventually, she learned to become more relaxed in front of an audience or camera.Through all this, she stayed determined to kept pursuing her acting career. Third, Katharine Hepburn was independent. She was independent because unlike other actresses, Katharine Hepburn had a tomboy figure and disliked public attention. She had a tomboy figure that didn't easily get acting jobs but she was herself. She didn't like acting like someone that didn't have a personality like hers. Katharine disliked photographers and reporters because she liked to be private and free from others' control. As you can see, Katharine was an amazing person.
I learned an important lesson from the way Katharine Hepburn lived. Katharine Hepburn was a determined and hard-working person. She taught me that I should believe in what I love to do no matter what. Katherine Hepburn was a famous actress and though she had to overcome many obstacles, she was still wonderful at her career. There were times when she had stage fright or was discouraged because of how she thought others would think of her personality. Through all this, she stayed determined to pursue what she loved to do. As you can see, there is a lot to learn from the way Katharine lived her life
In conclusion, Katharine Hepburn is a heroic person. She made many contributions to her community. Katharine Hepburn was a wonderful person that received many awards for her unique work. As you can see, Katharine Hepburn was an incredible person to learn about.
