I live with both of my parents in California. My dad was born in the capital of Egypt, which is Cairo. My dad is the kind of person who can help you with anything. He is a very fun, loving, and caring person. He wakes up Saturday mornings to play with my sisters and me. He’s a great mentor and an awesome chef.

I've learned how to play so many sports from my dad. I learned how to be a better basketball player and a better soccer player. I also learned how to throw a football. “The more you practice, the better you’ll get at the game,” is what my dad claims when he is coaching me. Now that I understand what my dad means, I tell it to my younger sisters and my cousins. I also learned how to box by play-boxing with my dad.

“You’ll never be able to throw me off the bed, you guys are too weak,” is what my dad exclaims to my sisters and I. Every Saturday morning when my sisters and I wrestle with my dad, we try to roll my dad off the bed while my mom cooks breakfast. We push and pull until we roll my dad off the bed. It only happened once because we had our mom's help, and I don’t think it will happen again. We shove, kick, and punch, but my dad has lots of tricks up his sleeve. He would put us in a tight headlock, or throw us off the bed. In the end, we end up laughing. What I love about my dad is that even though he has back problems and his back always hurts him, he still manages to play with my sisters and me.

All in all, my dad is my role model because when I grow up I want to be just like him -- great at everything. I want to be smart in all subjects, just like my dad. My dad is everything I want to be: smart, funny, strong, a great cook, and lots more. To me he has a perfect personality, and a perfect family that loves and cares for each other a lot. One big way my dad shows us how much he loves us is by giving us everything we want (within reason), even when he has back problems. He’s been having those back problems for about thirty years, and it's really bad, so my family and I appreciate him a lot.
