Katie Leclerc born on November 6, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas. She has one sister. Now, she is engaged to Brain Habecost.

At the age of 17, she learned American Sign Language because she has Ménière's disease, a degenerative inner ear disorder, the symptoms of which include fluctuating hearing loss and vertigo. She refused to let it interfere her dream as an actress. She started to act in seventh grade.

Katie Leclerc demonstrated heroism when she fights back against disease by demonstrating her positive attitude. She always work as an actress even though she has vertigo which is very difficult to do. Her open mind and positive attitude by accepting and learning American Sign Language after the fact that her hearing started to deteriorate.

I selected her as my hero because she always fights back against disease by demonstrating positive attitude, works so hard to maintain her job while suffering vertigo. She always opened her mind by learning and using American Sign Language.
