Kobe Bryant was born August 23,1978 in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He currently lives in Newport Beach California. His parents named him Kobe for the famous beef of Kobe, Japan. His current age is 31 and he is the youngest of his family along side with his two sisters. He plays shooting guard of the L.A Lakers in the NBA. He stands tall at 6 ft 6inches. His weight is 205 but he looks very skinny. The reason why I chose a basketball player is because basketball is fun and one of the easiest sports to understand.

Kobe has won many awards throughout his career: NBA champion, NBA Finals MVP, NBA Most Valuable Player, NBA All Star, NBA Scoring Champion, All-NBA First Team, All-NBA Second Team, All-NBA Third Team, All-Defensive First Team, All-Defensive Second Team, NBA All-Rookie Second Team, NBA All-Star Game MVP, NBA Slam Dunk Champion, and Naismith Prep Player of the Year. Some achievements made by Kobe are: Led the Los Angeles Lakers to three NBA titles in 2000, 2001 and 2002 thanks to his friend Shaquille O'Neil and Kobe as both of them made excellent team work. He also won an Olympic gold medal with the U.S. Basketball Team in Beijing.

The reason why I chose Kobe Bryant as my hero is because even if he loses a game he is still a good sport and I chose to follow his footsteps but not as a professional basketball player. While doing this report I learned that Kobe Bryant is an official ambassador for a program called "After School All Stars." At this charity Kobe Bryant helps 72,000 kids with after school programs. I think that it's so generous to help charity and I plan to be like Kobe Bryant even if I don't make myself famous. He's a big influence on me, I want to be like him with, a great career, a family, money, and a beautiful house next to the beach.
