Kelenna dunking

My vision of a hero is someone who works hard and gets the job done. A person who sets a goal for themselves and doesn’t quit until they reach that goal. Kelenna Azubuike, my cousin, fits that description. He is a great person as well as a great athlete. These are some of the reasons why this man is my hero.

Kelenna is a hard worker who sets a goal and completes it. In fact, one of his greatest accomplishments was reaching the N.B.A. after college. He did this by seizing every opportunity he got to practice using his skills as a basketball player and at the same time keeping his grades up, and staying out of trouble. He attended the University of Kentucky playing basketball for their team, the Wildcats. He scored an average of fifteen points per game and scored whopping thirty points at his best in one game. He achieved all of these feats in a very humble fashion.

My hero lives where he works, which is in Cleveland. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he lived with his two brothers and one sister. My father also lived with him when he was quite young. When Kelenna grew up he went to college, getting better at basketball while practicing with his teammates. He has a big family because he has twelve aunts and uncles, including my father. He got to where he is today by not giving up his dream.

My cousin lives now, in the present. That is why he is my hero because I can ask advice when I need it. He has lived for quite a while yet still has a great distance to go. It is very fortunate that he is alive and accessible to me. He is a good resource when I have a lack of knowledge, especially in basketball.

In conclusion, this man is important to me for many reasons. One of these reasons is because he has reached some of the goals I have set for myself. One of these goals is getting into college. I can also ask him for advice because he has been places I haven’t. He is a very accomplished person who has convictions and experiences on many issues that I feel are important. He is a good role model and there are many things that I intend to learn from him. These are the reasons why Kelenna Azubuike is my hero.
