Do you have a hero? My hero is Martin Luther King Jr. There are many reasons why Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero.

One reasons is because he wasn’t violent, and he was a peace maker. Because he was a peace maker , he had won The Nobel Peace prize.

When he was a kid he changed his name from Michael L. King to Martin Luther King. He had read books about black people who were heroes. There was a law separating blacks from Whites. He did not like that law. He didn’t like it for many reasons. One of the reasons was because blacks got treated meanly and Whites weren’t. There were times when Blacks were cursed, chased, lynched, and killed because of the color of their skin. There were also times when a white mom wouldn’t let her kid play with a black kid because he was a different color. Martin Luther King said his dream in front of everyone before he had died.

Martin was killed when a white man shot him. Before his death he was nearly killed on a speaking tour when when stabbed by an assailant. If Martin Luther King Jr. was still alive he would be 67 years old.

There are a lot of other reasons why Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero. He had a lot of disagreement with the laws, but he worked hard to change them. Martin Luther King Jr. also believed that blacks and whites weren’t all that different. I hope your hero is someone like mine is.
