My hero is my grandfather Luigi Catalfamo. My grandfather is my mother’s father. My grandfather is 73 years old. He lives in Queens, New York. I have known him for 11 years. My grandfather has done very great and heroic feats.

My grandfather has many heroic qualities. My grandfather showed courage since he left Italy with his father when he was 16 years old to start a new life in the United States. My grandfather also showed determination since he worked hard 7 days a week to make money so he would have enough money to bring his whole family to the United States. Last my grandfather showed wisdom because he was very wise even though he didn’t go to college. He learned English when he went to night school. My grandfather learned knowledge through good and bad experiences in his life.

My grandfather has some similarities and some differences to what the Greeks admired in their heroes. My grandfather has many different qualities from Greek heroes. First my grandfather did not fight for what he believed in. He is similar to the Greek heroes because the Greeks worked hard in life and so does my grandfather. My grandfather also stood up for himself and so did the Greeks. My grandfather is a great man who works hard and never stands down.
