Lei Feng

A hero is a person who is admired by many people for his noble qualities or his bravery. Lei Feng was an ordinary person in the Chinese People Liberation Army. Although he did not do any very great achievement for Chinese Army, he had a personality that many people don't have. He was always helping people selflessly and never told his name when he did good things.

Lei Feng was born on December 18th, 1940. He was born in a poor peasant's family of China. His father died because of the starvation. His mother also died when Lei Feng was only at the age of six. Lei Feng became homeless. Although little Lei Feng was in that miserable circumstance, he was still very tough. Lei Feng joined the Chinese Liberation Army. He studied very hard and served the people.

One day, Lei Feng worked regularly like before. He gave the reports to different places. He was sitting in the waiting room of train station. He saw some people were standing around - one woman and a little kid. He went toward to them and asked what happened. The people told him this woman wanted to see her husband and she wanted to go to the Shan Dong where her husband worked, but she lost her money and did not have enough money to buy the tickets. When Lei Feng finished hearing that, he used his own money and bought tickets for this woman. This woman asked with tears, “Sir, what is your name? Where do you live?” Lei Feng answered, “ I am just a solider of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and I live in China.

The personality that Lei Feng had is the personality, that most people lack, also including myself -----selflessness. Today's world is full of the thoughts of individualism. People want to use all the ways to bring their own benefits even to destroy another person's. They're are few people like Lei Feng. That is also the reason I admire this person.

A hero is not necessarily brave or strong on the outside. A hero should be having a great power on the inside of his heart and a hero could let people never forget him. Lei Feng died in August 15th 1962 because of an accident. The Chinese people set March as the month that does activities for learning which are inspired by LeiFeng. He is a hero of all the Chinese people.
