My hero is my father, Senator Lester Jackson III. My dad is a native of Savannah, Georgia, and graduated from Savannah High School. He is a dentist and the father of four children. He is married to my mom who is also a dentist. My dad has gotten awards such as outstanding citizen and many others.
Senator Jackson was first elected as a representative in 1998 and has not lost a race yet. My father was in the navy and went to Japan and climbed a Japanese mountain with an American spy. My father passed a law that is called the Volunteer Medicine and Dentistry Act in Georgia. It is a special license for doctors that volunteer their time in a free clinic. He has also made laws that allow more kids to go to private schools. That is what makes him a hero to me.
My father has made lives better by making good laws like Heracles, who made lives better by performing twelve labors. My dad and Heracles are also similar because they both are very strong. My dad and Heracles are different because Heracles was the greatest sportsman in the world and my dad can’t beat me at a basketball game of pig on our goal. They are also different because my dad probably couldn’t complete the twelve labors that Heracles did. My father Senator Lester Jackson is a hero to me and others in the community.
