Leon Malmed

My grandfather is my hero because he is a phenomenal role model to me. His name is Leon Malmed and he is 71 years old. He lives in Lake Tahoe, CA and I have known him my whole life. I call my grandfather Poppie. I love him so much!!!

There are a lot of reasons why Poppie is my hero. He tries to help me get better at different activities. The activities are biking, skiing, waterskiing, sailing, and playing billiards. He is also my hero because he is always caring for me if I hurt myself, and he teaches me a lot of new things. The last thing is that he makes me be a better person.

There are a couple of similarities my grandfather has that Greek heroes would have. They are that he is brave, courageous, patriotic, confident in himself, and he is kind of strong on the outside. There are also some differences between him and a Greek hero. He is intelligent, honest, compassionate, and strong on the inside. My grandfather helps me to be a better person by teaching and guiding me through life.
