To be a hero is hard work because you need to be honest, smart, kind and also care for others. For me a hero is someone who cares not just for himself but for others too. If you have lots of money, share it with poor people. Lionel Messi helps people without homes to go to school and get medicine.

Lionel Messi is a great soccer player who is from Argentina. For FC Barcelona, Messi scores many goals as a right wing. He tricks goalkeepers easily because goalies think Messi will shoot with his right foot but Messi shoots with his left foot. Messi is also a team player because he passes to his team mates. Fans call Messi the flea because he's the smallest player on the field.

Lionel Messi was born in 1987. He started playing soccer when he was 7 years old. At 11 years old Messi played for the Lepers.The Lepers were the best junior team in Argentina. When he was young he had a growth problem so he did not grow well. He could not be a professional soccer player because defenders will push and Messi will fall down easily. His family needed to pay 1,000$ a month because Messi needed special medicine. Messi's family did not have that money. The Coach of Barcelona said Barcelona would pay for the medicine if he played for Barcelona. So he signed a contract to play for FC Barcelona. His whole family moved to Spain.

Messi was one of the youngest players to score so many goals. He got 4 golden balls with FC Barcelona. A golden ball means he scored more than everyone who plays soccer. Messi is only 28 years old but he is one of the best soccer players in the world. he never gave up even though he was the smallest on the field.

Messi does not keep all his money but he pays for hospitals and schooling for poor children. His work is called foundation of Leo Messi and it helps children who have no home to go to schools and get medicine. If I were a professional soccer player I will choose to be one who cares.
