My Mom the Hero (By: Amber)

Who is a dentist and takes care of me? My mom of course! My mom is my hero because she is a dentist and she takes care of me.

First of all, she is my hero because she is a dentist. A dentist is someone who fixes people’s teeth if they have cavities or something. She teaches kids about teeth and how to keep them healthy. Every year my mom comes to my classroom to have experiments with my classmates. We get a penny and my mom squirts this liquid/solid on it. You go over to where these light guns are and it dries the liquid/solid. Then you take the penny off the liquid/solid and you get to keep both of them. I think it is really cool that she comes every year to my class to have experiments. That’s one reason why she is my hero!

Second of all, my mom is my hero because she takes care of me. "Takes care of me" means she helps me when I am hurt. Once I fell and skinned my knee and she ran and put a band-aid on it. Another time, I was really sick and my mom took me to the doctor and gave me soup and the next day I felt much better. I’m very lucky that I have a mother that takes care of me and is my hero.

All in all, my mom is my hero because she is a dentist and takes care of me. That’s why she is my hero and a great mother!
