A hero, when I hear that word I usually think of a great person who has made things that mark a great difference in this life. A hero for me is a person that always knows to recognize his dreams and his goals and never quits until he reaches them. It is a person that treats with respect and honesty all the people who are around him. That's why I chose Luis Felipe Madeira, better known as Figo, because I think he is a person that completes all these requirements.

Luis Felipe Madeira Caeiro was born in Lisboa, Portugal on the 4th of November of 1972. He is the only child of a marriage between Antonio and Maria Joana. He has played for, among others, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, and has been the captain of the selection absolute Portugal, which got third place in the EURO 2000 and 2004, in addition to fourth place in the World Cup Germany 2006. He has garnered the Golden Ball and the FIFA World Player, the top two individual awards in the world of football. Currently he plays at Inter Milan.

Figo has been married since 2001 to the Swedish model, Helena Svedin, whom he met in Barcelona and with whom he has three daughters.

Figo, apart from his overflowing, goals, assists, personality and tons of work to complement a quality beyond doubt, also used his fame to help other children have an opportunity like the one he had by creating a foundation that bears his name. The goal is to help children without resources to be successful in life through sport, but not without neglecting education and culture.

With this step Figo has become actively involved with helping children to fill their leisure hours with sports activities to help them to avoid falling into drugs or marginalization. I really admire Figo. He is a real hero for me. He has taught all of us the passion of sports and that if you want something in life you should fight for it. That is what I see In Figo , and he is a great hero for me.
