Train hard and swim fast is one of many of Leisel Jones’ mottos. Leisel Jones is my hero and is a great inspiration to all.

Leisel was born on the 30th August 1985 in Katherine, Northern Territory. She now is located at Melbourne, New South Wales with her fiancé Marty Pask. Leisel is 23 years old and with a height of 177cm she can kick us all out of the water.

Leisel started real competitive swimming at the age of 15. Her favourite stroke is breaststroke and she also likes to put a bit of everything all in for the medley. Leisel has represented Australia at a number of occasions, i.e., Beijing Olympics 2008. Leisel arrived home at the end of the Olympics, with two gold and one silver. Her achievements made everyone very proud. At the Beijing Olympics she swam in a medley relay with Jessica Schipper, Emily Seebohm and Libby Trickett.

Leisel is a great role model and is very inspiring not just to me but also to a number of people. I think Leisel deserves to be recognized as a great hero.
