John Lennon had a great life as what I can tell. I will be telling you why John Lennon is my hero. He was a humanitarian, an outlaw, and a pacifist. He was a rebel. He was a thinker. He was an imaginer. These are some of the reasons why I like him. In the next couple paragraphs, I will tell you more reasons why I like him.

John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool on October 9, 1940, during the WWII, his dad, Fred Lennon, was at sea. His father didn't show up again until five years later, and when he did he tried to take John away from his mother, Julia, when she refused to restart her life with him. Instead, he grew up in the Liverpool suburb of Woolton, with his Aunt Mimi and Uncle George Smith. Julia his mother had died in 1958, in an automobile accident practically in front of Mendips, when John was seventeen. Aunt Mimi had a very strict house. John very became bored at school, drawing and writing about his classmates and teachers instead of him doing his work. Rebellious at an early age, he had a very rough school history, sagging off from school. His future looked bad until Mimi got the principal of the Quarrybank School to write a letter of recommendation for John to the Liverpool Art College, because of his drawings.

John made the Beatles in 1961. The Beatles had a lot of Cd`s. John also had alot of cd`s of his own without the Beatles. The Beatles broke up in 1969-1970. They had a lot of number one hits and cds. The Beatles debut was at the Cavern Club. He had also written books.

John Lennon got a divorce from Cynthia Lennon in November 8, 1968. John married Yoko Ono right away after the divorce was over. Cynthia Lennon took 100,000 pounds.

John Lennon was killed in December 8th 1980. When he was walking behind building. Mark Chapman shot and killed Lennon. He was shot 5 times. The police rushed Lennon to the Roosevelt Hospital's emergency room. And this is why John Lennon is my hero. He lived and died for peace.
