Loretta

by Hayley from Dalton

A hero is a person who is gentle and kind it is someone who puts other people before themselves. There are many American heroes throughout America such as Martin Luther King, Jr. who was a hero for standing up for his rights and winning freedom to all African American people. Many people have inspired me but one of the most inspirations to me is my mom.

My mom has encouraged me and helped me to get through life. She is one of the most trustworthy people in the world. We have been through thick and thin but somehow she has managed to always be there in times when I have needed her the most. With four kids she is the most amazing mother in the world. She has encouraged us to never give up in school or something we have always set our minds to.

Every night before I go to sleep I thank God that he has given me such a wonderful mother who has tought me everything I know. I have more respect for her now than ever before because no matter how upset or how angry she is at me she will never give up on being such an inspiration to me. When I become a mother I hope that I can be a wonderful mother to my children as she is to me. It took me along time to really understand what being a hero meant but now I know that being a hero is not the easiest thing in the world. So as I get older and plan my future I hope that someday I can also be a hero to somebody.
