Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus was originally born as Destiny Hope Cyrus. She got her name because her dad thought that "Her Destiny was to bring Hope into this World." As she was growing up as a baby she smiled all the time so her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, gave her the nickname of "Smiley" later it was shortened to just Miley and she has kept the nickname ever since. Miley was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992 which often falls on Thanksgiving Day.

When Miley was actually able to hold a microphone and sing, during her dad's concerts she would escape from her Nanny and jump on stage! As she was getting older she kept on doing the same all the time. She was in a performance of "Holding On To A Dream" by her Dad.

Now Miley is A Huge "Pop-Teen" Sensation from her hit Disney Show "Hannah Montana." Miley started to audition for Hannah Montana at the age of 11. At first they said she was too small to be Hannah Montana but Miley kept on going and followed her dream. She had auditioned a great deal. Finally they said "Come on in, we want to see you in person." So she flew out to Los Angeles and auditioned a few more times. Finally, it was between her and two other girls for Hannah Montana and of course she won the part which has made her as famous as she is today.

Miley has gone on tour with "The Cheetah Girls" and sang her hit song "Best of Both Worlds" along with many other songs. Miley now has a solo album coming out the Summer of 2007. She will also be going on a "Solo" tour following the release of her solo album.

She recently went to London to perform for her fans out there and sign some autographs, not some thousands! After she got back from London she went to Washington DC and sang at the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Already, she has her own "Official Fan Club" called Miley World and it is a great success. She also has hundreds of fansites being made on Myspace, Piczo, freewebs and bebo, so fans can show their love. She is an idol and role model among many girls and boys across the world.

Hannah Montana's first season is almost over and the second season airs on Disney Channel on April 24, 2007. In this season she starts a new High School as a freshman and now she goes to the same school as her brother, Jackson who is your typical guy who freaks out about girls and cars and he loves to be a little prankster. She also said that there will be many more boys! The fun part of Hannah Montana for Miley is that her dad is played by Who else, Her dad! So tune into Disney Channel and catch Miley every day at 6/7 Central everyday starting on April 24!
