Martin Luther King Junior

by Anderson from Carbondale

My hero's name is Martin Luther King Jr. Martin was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He died on April 4, 1968. He was a political activist and Baptist minister. When Martin Luther King Jr. was young, he did not feel pain when he hit his head. Another thing was that he was also super smart. Martin Luther King Jr. was a good kid when he was young.

My hero helped races that were not treated fairly because of their skin color. He encouraged people with different skin color to do things together. He also helped reduce the amount of racism. Martin and a whole lot of African Americans walked around everywhere singing what I think they call "freedom songs." He was an inspiration to many when he said his speech, "I Have a Dream." Martin Luther King Jr. was an incredible Civil Rights leader.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a very courageous man. If it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have been treated like I am being treated today. He was one of the bravest men alive. He was an honorable Civil Rights leader. This is why Martin Luther King is both my hero and my idol.
