My hero Martin Luther King Jr. made a big change in our lives by uniting whites and blacks. Martin Luther King Jr. has faced many struggles, but he also has made many contributions to society and has made many accomplishments. Although Martin had many struggles he still had the courage to fight for the rights of others. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents were Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams. Martin had a sister and a brother. Martin went to many segregated schools in Atlanta, Georgia. When Martin Luther King was 24 years old he married Coretta Scott and they had four children. He was a Civil rights worker and a pastor. Martin won five honor degrees and when he was a 35 he received the Nobel Peace Prize. He also was named Man of the Year by Teen Magazine. Unfortunately, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.

Martin’s contributions to society were being a minister and working for civil rights. Martin also had some struggles as well as accomplishments. His struggles were being arrested, his house being bombed, and also he was subjected to personal abuse. His accomplishments were being able to have an education, getting the Nobel Peace Prize and most importantly being able to unite blacks and whites.

Even though Martin had many characteristics of a hero the ones that I admire the most are he being able to stand up for others and himself. I admire this because I also get the courage of being able to stand up for others and myself. The other characteristic that I admire is that he could face any struggles that are in his way. I admire this because it teaches me to face my struggles with courage and determination.

Martin Luther King Jr. has made a change in my life by making me become a better person and knowing the struggles that other people face in their lives. Martin has also made a change in my life because I have someone to look up and to think about when I have a struggle to face. I think that Martin Luther King Jr. will be looked up to for many years. Any kid will probably find something in him that will make them act just like him.

I think that my hero Martin Luther King Jr. will always be a strong and courageous man to learn about. If I were to say a last thing about Martin Luther King Jr. I would say that any person who wants to make a change in life but is scared to, just has to be strong and bold like Martin Luther King Jr. had and they would be able to do anything.
