I first became aware of my personal career hero when I was in middle school. The reason it was in middle school was because I was in a classroom and we talked about what you wanted to be when you get older. I had realized that I wanted to be a nurse because you get to care for people. I have a good friend that was a perfect role model for me. She helps people, she is a nurse, and loves what she does. I knew that my hero was a perfect match for me. There are many different qualities that attract me to my hero. Some of them are that she works hard all the time and she takes one day at a time. Another is that she has never complained about going to work. My hero can be anyone’s hero.
My hero right now is in management and helps nurses. She started off as a Candy Striper when she was in high school; she loved working as a Candy Striper so much that she went to college to become a nurse. She went to Las Vegas University to get the requirements to become a nurse. She took all her undergraduate classes and then went on to the nursing program. She got her four year Bachelor in Science degree in nursing. She started off working in labor and delivery and worked her way up into management. She has helped the hospital in many different ways. She currently makes around 100,000 dollars per year in management.
My hero was very active in high school. She was a hard working student and was in color guard all four years. She had a difficult time taking tests as I do but still tried her hardest all the time. She loved helping people and started taking ROP through her high school. She studied hard and got good grades and made her way through schooling. She worked at a hospital as a Candy Striper and she enjoyed this so much she went to college to become a Registered Nurse. She worked very hard in college and received her Bachelor’s in Science for nursing.
My hero now is helping doctors and nurses make their job easier to do. By helping nurses she is making their lives easier so they can help people in need. She does the development of the input systems for the nurses and doctors.
To become a nurse I need to get good grades through my school years. I would like to be a part of the ROP nursing classes at my school. I will be starting to volunteer at Mission Hospital in the fall so I can see if nursing is the right career for me. After high school, I will be attending Saddleback College for two year to get my general education completed. After I complete that I will transfer to CSULB. I will continue my undergraduate courses and then I will enter my nursing program. My life time goals are to become a RN and help people in the world.
