Marco Borsato is a Dutch singer and songwriter. He was born at 21 December 1966. His first songs were in Italian, but he really became famous when he started to sing in Dutch. He has been ambassador of War Child since 1998. War Child is an organization for poor people abroad. This organization earned money and helps them. He wants to help other people because he wants a good life for everybody. He sponsors poor people through concerts, where he collects money with the profits of his concert tickets. Because of all this, we think he is a perfect hero.

Marco Borsato plays in the movie ‘ wit licht’. This film is about war children. They are forced to fight in the war. He is ambassador of War Child and he knows very much about this subject. That’s why he plays the good guy in this movie. He said in an interview: singing is my biggest talent, acting in a film is very nice too. His new album is called ‘ wit licht’ the same name as the movie. ‘Wit licht’ the movie is a very good movie! We think Marco Borsato is a very good singer, actor and hero.
