Mark Hoppus

My hero is Mark Hoppus. Mark Hoppus is a member of the band Blink-182. Blink-182 is composed of three members: Mark Hoppus who plays bass guitar and sings lead vocals along with Tom Delonge who also plays lead guitar the other member is Travis Barker who plays the drums.

Mark is my hero because he makes amazing music. He has made 5 albums with Blink-182 and one with +44 which was his other band when Blink-182 split. He also produces albums for other artists. He produced Motion City soundtrack's album Commit this to Memory, which is an amazing record. He also produced New Found Glory's newest record and a number of other records.

Mark Hoppus is married to Syke Everly who he met on the set of Blink-182's video shoot for All the Small Things. They had a son in 2002 named Jack Hoppus. Mark was born on March 15, 1972 and is 37 years old.

Mark Hoppus is a member of the noh8 campaign. The noh8 campaign is a photo project and silent protest. It was started after Proposition 8 was passed which banned same sex marriage. I think what Mark is doing with this campaign is really great and I hope they can do something to end Proposition 8.

Mark Hoppus is my hero because he is a great person. Every time I hear his music it makes me smile. His music reaches out to millions of people and he uses his celebrity status to help people. Mark Hoppus is amazing.
