Magic Johnson

by Jackson from Cincinnati

Magic Johnson, we've all heard of him, right? Well, there may be a chance you don't know his full story. We see Magic Johnson as an ordinary guy. But what you may not know (if you're a kid) is that he has HIV/Aids. This terrible disease changed his life forever. As you read along, you will find out how this struggling and courageous man is a hero.

Magic Johnson is a hero because he has HIV/Aids. He started his own foundation to raise awareness of the disease. He inspired people to get out of bed every day and help fight this disease.

According to all of the sites that I have, Magic Johnson is a hero because he started this foundation. Also, before he got the disease, he played basketball for the Lakers. He also at that time inspired people. This foundation that he started changed the world entirely. He also still hasn't been cured from his disease.

My definition of a hero is someone who inspires someone else to do good in the world. And that's exactly what magic does every day. That's mainly why I chose him, he is a hero. His foundation is fighting HIV/Aids as we speak. His company still has a long road ahead of them. But that's what life's all about, the journey.
