Michael Jeffrey Jordan

Michael Jordan once said "I can accept failure, but I can’t accept not trying" and that is what he did. My hero is Michael Jeffrey Jordan. He was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were James Jordan and Deloris Jordan. In 1982 he went to College at UNC or University of North Carolina. In 1984 he was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in to the NBA. He played many seasons with the Bulls and then a tragic accident happened to Jordan and his family. In 1993 his dad got murdered in a robbery. This loss for MJ led to his temporary retirement from the NBA. Michael Jordan now lives in a place called Wilmington, North Carolina. He has a wife, two sons, and a daughter. He got married in September of 1989. Jordan played Pro basketball for the Chicago Bulls, and the Washington Wizards and he played in the MLB for the Chicago White Sox.

Michael Jordan was in some people's minds the greatest basketball player of all time. He has gotten the NBA MVP award, rookie of the year, inducted into the NBA hall of fame, and has won a total of six NBA Titles. Besides all of the sports, MJ started a boys and girls club and a family life center called the James R. Jordan Boys and Girls club in 1994, for people of all ages. This club was named after his Father. He saved many people from doing drugs, getting bad grades, and helped with family problems. In the center people could play basketball, do homework, hang out in a safe place, play pool, and people could do things as a family. MJ donated two million dollars to make the club. This shows how much Michael Jordan gave back to his community and the world.

Michael Jordan has a few characteristics of a hero. These Characteristics are helpful, caring, determination, and respectfulness. I think that Michael Jordan is helpful because he helped many kids with some of their problems, and helped peoples families and family problems. MJ is caring because he cared about everyone, not just himself. I think he is determined because he never gave up, he was determined to be the best basketball player ever. He was determined to help people out with their problems, and he wanted kids to be good kids with good grades. I think he is respectful because he respected his opponents, and he respected people with their problems. He didn’t judge people because of the way they acted or the way they looked.

I chose Michael Jordan as my hero because he was the greatest basketball player of all time. Also because he was one of the most caring and helpful celebrities I have ever heard of. I would love to grow up and be just like Michael Jordan and become an awesome basketball player and win as many titles as he did. I would also like to be able to help many people all over the world with their problems. That is why Michael Jordan inspires me and that is why I chose him to be my hero.
