Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15,1929. He was the baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. When he was born, his name used to be Michael Luther King Jr. before he changed it. Martin Luther King Jr's grandfather was the pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, when he was growing up. When his grandfather died, then Martin's dad became pastor of that church for a while. And that was Martin Luther King's family about when he was a kid. And now it's going to be about his education, and where he went to school.

Martin Luther King Jr. went to school at many schools. He attended many segregated public schools in Georgia. He graduated from high school at the age of 15. King received the B. A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College. And at that college, both his father and his grandfather had attended at this school. So furthermore, Martin Luther King Jr. went to many schools in Atlanta, Georgia, and after he went to school he made a family.

In 1953, Martin Luther King Jr. married a New England Conservatory Music student, Coretta Scott. After a while King and Scott decided to have kids, four of them to be exact. While he was married in 1954, he became the minister of Dexter Avenue Church. And in 1956, after he made one of his speeches, his house got bombed. Luckily, nobody was in his house when it happened. Furthermore, Martin Luther King Jr. made a family later in his life and after that he became very known for some of his famous speeches like these I'm about to tell you.

The reason why Martin Luther King Jr. became very popular was for his speeches, and that he stood up for what he believed in. That black and white people were the same. Martin Luther King Jr. was also well known as a strong worker for Civil Rights for the members of his race. One of his speeches was the I Have a Dream speech. And that was some of the stuff that Martin Luther King Jr. was known for and now I'm going to tell you how he died, and some of his struggles in his life, and what he had to overcome.

Some struggles that Martin Luther King Jr. had to deal with his whole life was being treated differently because he was black. He got treated like an animal not a person, like he had to sit outside or on the ground at a restaurant. Martin Luther King Jr. has had to deal with racism his whole life, and having to treat the white people good, otherwise then he would go to jail. He has achieved that telling the world that black and white people are the same. But on April 4, 1986, Martin Luther King Jr. was shot while giving a speech. That was about Martin Luther King Jr. and what his life was like growing up, what he had achieved, what he did, and how he became famous. And that's the life of Martin Luther King JR.
