In Chicago, Illinois, my unsung hero was born. My Mom lived in a poor family. Her Mom tried so hard to get my Mom into a good school. Eventually my mom got into Brookwood Elementary, one of the best schools in Illinois. My Mom got such good grades that she got the Nation Honor Society award in Brookwood Elementary. Later after that her mom had my Mom's sister. My Mom never saw her dad again after her sister was born. It was hard for my Mom.

After Bloom High School, my Mom was a great swimmer and wanted to be a Olympian Swimmer. After six deaths in my Mom's family, my mom decided to be a doctor instead of a swimmer. She became a doctor because she wanted to make a difference in people's lives, make them live longer, and live a happier life. My Mom loves what she does, she loves what she does because she meets new people everyday, helps them out, and feels great when she makes a huge difference in people's lives.

The only thing my Mom wishes she could change is the long hours in her office, leaving her family, and coming home late. She really wishes she could be with her family more because she sometimes can't see her children, doesn't sleep well, or doesn't eat at all. My Mom knew it was going to be hard because she wanted to make the best out of it. She had to train for 26 years including elementary. She had to train for 26 years because other doctors are trusting a person with sick people. And if you mess up, a person's life is in risk.

My Mom had to leave home to go to College. And had to go away from home for the 26 years of training. My Mom would also visit her family from time to time. She started to be a doctor at 32 years old, she has been working in Cardiology for almost 14 years now. She is still working in Cardiology today. My Mom's hero is her Aunt Jackie because she helped my Mom through my Mom's tough times and made my Mom feel better. Her Aunt Jackie died from Brain Cancer. My Mom's other hero is Dr. Dreifus, he saw something in my mom that not a lot people had in their Cardiology training years. He also made my mom feel proud of what she does. My Mom was very successful in her life because she believed in herself her whole life.

Now that's my unsung hero. I hope you think my Mom is a hero also.
