Malala Yousafzai is known as a brave girl who speaks up for girls' education. She is never afraid to do things that she believes that it is right and nothing can stop her. She never loses her passion and keeps doing things to create opportunities for girls around the world who are searching for education.
Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997. Malala likes to study and searching for education so she attended the school that her dad founded. In her country, Pakistan, girls are not allowed to go school so Malala started to be an activist who speaks up for girls' education. This caused her to be shot in the head on October 9, 2012 by the Taliban. In 2009 Malala began to write a blog for BBC to told others about the girls' education in her country and about the Taliban, she used the username called Gul Makai in order to hide her identity but it was later revealed that it was her in December of the same year.

She was nominated for many prizes for the things that she was doing including the Children's Peace Prize in 2011 and Pakistan National Children's Peace Prize which she was awarded. On October 9, 2012, Malala was on the way home in the bus but suddenly the Taliban showed up, the gunman went up on the bus and called her name out to make sure that she was there. After he knew that Malala was in the bus, he fired at her. The bullet went in to the left of her head, there were two other girls who got injured. Malala was severely injured because of the injury in her skull. She was in the local hospital before the United of Arab Emirates sent her to the hospital in England. She took several surgeries because of the damage in her brain and skull. Later, Malala and her family moved to Birmingham in England because of Malala and her family's safety. Malala was able to attend the school in March 2013, she went to Edgbaston high school for girls to continue studying. Malala gave a speech at the United Nations on her 16th birthday in 2013 which is known as Malala Day, she said "Malala Day is not my day. Today is the day of every woman, every boy and every girl who have raised their voice for their rights." In the same year, it was the first time that Malala was nominated in the Nobel Peace Prize. Malala was nominated again in 2014 and she became the youngest girl who received the Nobel Award.

Malala kept following her passion without taking a step back. Malala and her dad raised a fund called Malala Fund. The fund's aim is to give girls around the world who do not have chances to study to be able to go school. Malala also wrote a book called 'I Am Malala' to tell others about her life experiences.Over these past years Malala has done many things to make the world a better place for women and she always give all of her efforts to help women in the world.
After I researched about Malala's life and what she has done, Malala has changed my vision for the world. I realized that even though people are saying that all girls and boys are equal but in real life, there are still some countries that girls cannot follow their dreams or do things that they want. Malala is always there for girls who need education. I sometimes think that how can a young girl be this brave to speak out her thoughts out and fight for others.I want to be brave like her so that I can speak out about how I feel and what I want to do.
