I am doing my paragraph on a amazing person named Malala. I chose to do her because she needs to be recognized for her kindness and courage that she would of had to have if she wanted to stand up for the right of girls education in her country and i think that she is a hero for that. I read a book about her that book is called I am Malala. It is a biography and Malala had a hand in writing it. This book is a chapter book and it has about 224 pages long and is about her childhood and her struggles in life. This book is through a span of time from when she was a young child from her school life all the way till she was older this book takes place from 1997-2013. This book was published on October 8th 2013. The author of my book is Patricia McCormick. Three facts about Malala are 1. She was shot when she was 15 on her way home from school. 2.She survived being shot 3. The Taliban took over her Region. Some facts about Patricia McCormick are 1. She written a lot of books 2.She has won quite a few awards 3. She is 60 years old. Malala is a very inspiring person.

Malala was born in the north west of Pakistan and the town of Mingora. She was born on the day of July 12 in 1997. She was and raised in Swat Valley even though it was once under attack. She had a very helpful Father and a very kind mother with 2 brothers. Her parents' names are Tor Pekai and Ziauddin Yousafzai and her brothers' names are Khushsl and Atal. Her parents are very helpful and kind people and will protect their kids, no matter what, and her brothers and  has lots of Uncles aunts and cousins and they're often at their house. She has grandparents and other family members who are all very supportive.
Someone who inspired her was Benazir Bhutto who was the first woman to be president in Pakistan and she inspired Malala because of that. Malala got shot in the head when she was only 15 years old. Also Malala was scared when the Taliban threatened her dad. When the Taliban was taking over her country and they said girls were not allowed to go to school her dad had a school open for girls. So i think that also inspired her to free girls privileges to get a good education. Did you know Malala was named after a famous warrior and also a poet. She was the first person 17 year old to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Malala was very interested in school. She went to school at Khushal Public School and Edgbaston High School. She got a poor education because when she was 10 her education got affected when someone said girls were not allowed to go to school. She was a good student and got good marks. Malala did lots of things to keep busy when she was not at school. She used to play a game called cricket and like everyone else she watched TV sometimes. She played tag and other fun outdoor games. When her country was under attack she had the dream to free the right to let girls go to school and wanted to help people. Malala wanted to be the leader of her country when she grew up and later she wanted to be a politician leader. Someone youngest. Also someone named July 12 Malala day. Malala is very interesting person.

When Malala started her campaign when she was 10 to free girls education a gunman shot her in the head on her way home from school. No one thought she would survive but she did. She was in the hospital and even though she got shot in the head she continued her campaign and acted like nothing had happened to her. Also she did not get an education like she deserved. To overcome this problem she spoke out against it. I think her dad had a big part in her success because he inspired her and her dad had helped her lots in her childhood and inspired her to be and do what she believes in. Her dad had a big influence on her actions. When he went to talk about everything that was going on Malala would come to and get interviewed and say what she thought about everything too. Her dad would always support her and help her. Malala is brave for standing up to the Taliban and other people that threatened to kill everyone if they don't follow the rules they made up and she wasn't afraid when she would speak her mind to people. Also Malala is very kind because when she was young her family would donate lots of food, clothing and shoes to the less fortunate people in a nearby country to people who didn't have a lot of money. Also she is very inspiring. Because she was inspiring girls, boys and kids to do what they believe in and don't think anyone can tell you what you can or can't do. Malala doesn't lose her temper and doesn't really cry. She is usually brave and kind but sometimes she can get mad and she really doesn't like to lose. When she was younger she would sometimes get mad at her brothers and got mad over the Taliban controlling her country. When Malala was younger she would watch TV and pray every night that the pen that you would draw something and it would appear every night. Also when Malaya was young someone from the Taliban came up to her family's car and searched their car for anything that was banned. This scared Malaya because the person had a gun. When the Taliban was taking over Swat wasn't safe anymore so they left but luckily they went back and their house was fine. Malala was awarded many awards like, for example: The Nobel Peace Prize, Sakharov prize, National Malala Peace prize, Glamor awarded for girl heroes, Mother Teresa awards and many many more. She got many of these awards when she was young but I think she really deserves them because she is an amazing person.

I am surprised that Malala survived when she got shot because usually you die if someone shoots you in the head. Also I am surprised that Malala would not be very scared when the Taliban took over at first. If I could meet Malala the three questions that i would ask 1. Who is your hero? 2. How did you feel when you were forced to leave your school? 3. How did it make you feel when you got shot? I would want to be Malala's daughter because i think she would have great advice and interesting stories to tell me. But i wouldn't want to be her child because she would always be so busy traveling the world. I like the book about Malala because it's so interesting and sad to learn about her and her life. It is well written and is easy to understand for younger kids.I learned that Malala was only 15 when she got shot and was 10 when she started her campaign. I also learned that Malala had 2 brothers and that she was so amazing. I learned from Malala that you shouldn't be scared of something even though at the time everyone is living in fear. Well I don't think little kids would like this book because it might be too sad or scary for them. But people who like sad books would love it. I am very happy that i chose Malala to do because she has taught me lessons about life. I would look up to Malala as a hero because if it wasn't for her a lot of girls would not have a education and wouldn't be qualified for a job and would not be able to have a house and their family. I have learned a lot from Malala and she is very important.
