by Cassandra from Dax

I'm going to write about Malala who is a Pakistani woman. Malala's real name is Malala Yousafzai; she is a woman's right activist.

Malala is a young woman; she was born on July 12th 1997 in Pakistan. In 2009 she became a celebrity because she did an interview on the blog "ourdou of BBC". Malala denounced violence in her country, that affected especially girls. She appeared in a video, where she was sad and was crying. She talked of her dream: becoming a doctor. In 2012 she was the victim of an attempted killing but she survived. Thanks to this , she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, she was the youngest person to be nominated.

For me Malala is a heroine because I realized that her cause is important, besides I'm a girl then it affects me even more.

Courage and Assurance. (http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/oct/ ())

She's a heroine for me because she's a woman like me. She defends the right to go to school or the right to talk about what we think. For her age, and she is mature which is important. However, she went through many hardships and she has always remained proud. It's thanks to people like her, the world can change and be better. I, who am the same age as her, I don't think that I could have the same courage and assurance that Malala.
