Ali's legacy will always be known as unforgettable. Ali defended the championship nine times in two years, then in 1967 refused to join the army on religious grounds. Because of his actions, he had his title and licence stripped from him. Many people disliked Ali and many also respected him. For three-and-a-half years he didn't box, but in 1970 he got his boxing licence restored, but in 1971 was beaten by Joe Frazier. He then came back to beat Joe in 1974 in Zaire. Ali later on that year met George Foreman in the ring and knocked him out in the eighth round to reign over the title again. Then in Feb., 1978 Leon Spinks beat him in a split decision, but Ali got the title back the same year. That made Muhammad Ali the first man to be the World Heavyweight Champion three times.
Muhammad Ali has changed people's lives, including mine, in the history of sports. He is an idol in many people's eyes. He is recognized all over the world. He has made me have the mentality I have today, and this is the quote that I think of that resonates with me. "He who is not courageous enough to take risk will accomplish nothing in life." - Muhammad Ali
