Michael Ballack

Heroes are a big part of life. They do things every day! Heroes should be confident. Then they will believe in themselves. A hero is someone who you can look up to. They also are courageous. They don't let things get to them, they just keep going. They also should be kindhearted. They don't just think of themselves. Another thing they should be is reliable. You can rely on them to get things done. This is why I chose German soccer player Michael Ballack.

He was born September 26, 1976 in Chemnitz, Germany. Ballack's parents sent him to train with the side when he was seven years old. His highest education was Abitur, German A-Levels. He has three children. Louis is the oldest child; Emilio, the middle child; and finally, Jordi his youngest child. He was named German soccer player of the year three times. In 2002, 2003 and 2005. His German teammate Mario Gomez won the title in 2007.

One of his characteristics is confidence. He is confident because I know he believes in himself. If you count how many goals he has for team Germany it racks up to a whooping 42 goals! On all his teams combined, he has scored 152 goals in his career! Another characteristic he has is courage. One example is that I heard his ankle will be hurt for a while, so it is only questionable if he will play in the 2010 World Cup. He is trying to work through the pain because he wants to play.

One more characteristic is kindhearted. Michael Ballack possesses this because he may want to be the star though he will pass the ball for the best of his team. He also does not do things like abuse his kids. The last characteristic is reliable. He is reliable because because the fans rely on him not to be a ball hog. He assists and he scores.

Michael Ballack is my hero because he plays soccer and I do also. Even though he does not play the same position as me, I still do play his position midfielder maybe once every five games. I want to grow up to be like him because he is a nice guy and a great soccer player. He also plays along with Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, and Nicolas Anelka. He is a soccer player to look up to.
