Have you ever had a basketball game in which you have scored 40 points? Mike Bibby has several times! Mike Bibby, you are a hero, you are great at basketball no matter what people say. You are a hero because you are 6 foot 2, and still kept playing basketball as a guard. A lot of people who are 6 foot tall always end up under the basket. And normally people are better outside the box, but we try our hardest whereever they can put us. Mike Bibby is a hero because he plays for the Miami Heat (and most recently, The New York Knicks) he was drafted in his sophomore year, and he is a 6'2' point guard.

He started off on the Memphis Grizzlies. He averaged about 13 points a game as a rookie. But they continued to struggle. At the end of the season, he got traded to the Sacramento Kings. Then he led the Kings to the Western Conference Finals that season but they lost to the Los Angeles Lakes. Then he got traded to the Atlanta Hawks in 2008 and he signed a 3 years contract for about 18 million dollars. Then in February 2011 the Hawks Traded him to the Washington Wizards. But then they released him and he went to the Miami Heat.

Mike Bibby played for the Arizona Wildcats in college. He lead them to the NCAA championship game in 1997. He was a sophomore at the time. He lead the team in scoring with  22 points. They were playing the University of Kentucky. After his sophomore year in college he went into the NBA Draft and got drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies. In his sophomore year!

Mike Bibby's family is very famous for their athletic abilities. His father Henry Bibby is a former NBA and UCLA player, and former USC basketball coach and the current Memphis Grizzlies assistant Coach. Mike is the nephew of the former Major League Baseball player Jim Bibby. He is also the brother-in-law of current Miami Heat teammate Eddie House, who was also one of Mike's Sacramento Kings teammates during the 2004-2005 season. He also has two cousins in sports. They are Nottingham Forest forward Robbie Findley and wide receiver Shaun McDonald, formerly of the NFL Pittsburgh Steelers.

Some people might say we are crazy for having you as a hero but you are a hero to many people. You might play for the Miami Heat now and maybe you won't be next year but we all hope you will stay there. So you are on a team of your equals. You were drafted only in your sophomore year, which people might say that isn't but that's just awesome. He is a 6'2' point guard in the NBA. Mike Bibby plays for the Miami Heat and he is a Hero.

Extra Info

Dear Mike Bibby,

Mike Bibby you are my hero, you are awesome at basketball no matter what people say. You are my hero because you are 6 foot 2, and still kept playing basketball as a guard. I am 6 foot and always seem to end up under the basket. I am normally better outside the box, but I try my hardest wherever they put me.
I have been reading and doing reports on you and found out that you actually got drafted in college when you were just a sophomore. This is amazing to me. I couldn’t imagine how happy you were when you found out. Even if it might not have been the team you wanted or the team you had expected. But you still got drafted 1st round pack and 2nd pick. To the Vancouver Grizzlies.
I hope to play basketball in college and I don’t think I am good enough to go farther but I would love to. I have watched you play and have gotten tips from you just watching you play. You have had a lot of great games if I say so myself. It also looks like you are going to have a lot more great games to go. I hope to keep watching you and maybe even playing some basketball myself and you might be watching me some day. If I could choose a team to go to it would either be the Miami Heat where you are or the Boston Celtics.
Some people might say I am crazy for having you as my hero but you are my hero.
