When I think of my hero he does not stand out right away but he rises to the top. My hero does not boast or brag. My hero does not demand attention or fight for the spotlight. What my hero does do is inspire. My hero tries to get the best out of his team and his class. My hero is Mike Burr.

Mike Burr is the assistant soccer coach. He is also the assistant baseball coach. Even when it is soccer season Mr. Burr relates everything back to baseball, I guess it is because he has been coaching sports for so long he can tell us what to do without him ever doing it. Mr. Burr is also the O.W.E teacher at River View High School. Hanging on his wall is a picture of all of his students who have achieved success.
Mr. Burr has a wife named Linda, a son Ryan and a daughter Jacie. His wife was previously the Physical Education teacher at River View Junior High. His son, Ryan, played soccer throughout his high school and college career. Mike Burr has encouraged everybody he knows to strive to do their best. Whenever Mr. Burr gives us a halftime speech he never fails to mention his son's group of players and how we need to work as hard as they do.

I'm sure Mr. Bur is not only my hero but many others' hero. This is because he is a calm and inspiring coach. When he gets upset he does not yell at his players he just talks to them, telling them ways they can do better. When Mr. Burr sees his players not trying on the soccer field he tries his hardest to make us try our hardest. Mr. Burr does not look for what's best for him, but for what's best for his players, his team and his school.
My hero is not a super hero. My hero is not famous. My hero is not even a member of my family. My hero is someone who inspires me to do my best. My hero is someone who inspires everyone to do their best. My hero is Mike Burr.
