Manny Pacquiao is the only man to have eight world titles in eight different weight classes. Who would have thought that a young boy from the poor area of the Philippines would become the best pound for pound boxer in the world. And not only is Pacquiao a world class boxer he is a congressman in the Philippines. The only way he could achieve this was by being hardworking and passionate.

Manny Pacquiao just didn’t become the best boxer in the world by sitting on the couch all day; he had to be willing to put his heart and soul into boxing. By the time he was 14 he had already started training vigorously. He was fighting grown men when he was a kid. This shows that to become the best he was willing to do anything. And after he ran for congressman in 2007 in the Philippines and lost, he worked even harder and in 2010 he won the position. Pacquiao was able to come back from a loss, learn from his mistakes and win the next time. And he wouldn’t have been able to win unless he had his drive to win in everything. All this shows how hardworking he can be. But this isn’t the only reason Pacquiao is my hero.

Manny Pacquiao loves boxing. He didn’t even quit after he became a congressman. Pacquiao is so passionate he put weight in his pockets so he could make the minimum weight class of 105 when he was only 96 pounds. It didn’t matter to him if they weighed more than him or not. He also was the first person in the world to win seven world titles in seven different weight classes. Even someone who comes from the poor sections of the Philippines can achieve something if they work hard. This means that anyone can achieve something if they put their mind to it. He also worked a lot harder than most boxers because he had to fight to get into Manila and then fought 64 amateur matches before he came to America. And now as a professional he has fought over 60 matches and has only lost three of them.

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” (Muhammad Ali). Manny Pacquiao has done this his whole life and is now a world class boxer. He did this through being passionate and hardworking and this is why he should be an inspiration to everyone. A boy from a poor town in the Philippines is now a millionaire. So anyone can do anything if they try.
