Manny Pacquiao

To me, Manny Pacquiao is the greatest boxer of all time. Even though he has lost 4 fights and 2 ties, he comes back with 54 wins. 38 of those were won by knockout. He has fought in 8 different weight divisions, often fighting opponents bigger than him.  But that didn't stop him from trying. He then ends up becoming a champion in all 8 weight division, with each win greater than the last.

In one of his recent fights, the judges declared that he had lost the fight. As the decision upset everyone, Manny Pacquiao did not complain. He said that he respected the judges' decision, but honestly thought he won the fight. The fight went under review with 5 independent judges, with each of them favoring Manny Pacquiao. They could not overturn the result that Manny Pacquiao has lost. Even though this loss was the judges' decision, causing him to lose a belt and a lose on his record, Manny did not throw a fit, again showing true sportsmanship

Not only does Manny have a boxing career, he also has a Political career. On November 21 2009 he decided to run for a congressional seat, but this time in the Province of Sarangai. On May 13, 2010 he was named congressman of the lone district of Sarangai. He had a majority of the votes at 66.35% (120,052 votes), defeating Chongbian who only 33.65% (60,889 votes). This was a major victory for Manny.  Chongbian has had power of this province for over thirty years. Not only did he participate in politics in the Philippines, he also did so in the US. He supported Jerry Brown as Governor in November 2010.  He also supported Harry Reid as Senator of Nevada.

Aside from his Political career and fighting career, Manny has another profession in acting. He starred in 28 shows and movies. He started his acting career in 2000 when he starred in the hit comedy Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin that showcased in the Philippines. After that he starred in 8 more movies.  He also starred in 20 television shows as different characters, and even appeared as himself in other shows. Manny also does a little bit of singing. He made a song named Para Sa'Yo became popular in the Philippines that was dedicated to his winnings and honor to his home country. He also sang with many celebrities, including one the funniest comedians, Will Ferrell .

Manny Pacquiao is a well rounded celebrity. As a boxer, he has a strong heart and never gives up, pushing his limits on fighting bigger opponents. He also shows good sportsmanship about his losses, even if he truthfully won. Not only is he a great fighter, he is an amazing actor who starred in 28 films.  He is also a singer who sang with many celebrities. He also is a Congressman of the Province of Sarangai. He shows he can do anything you set your mind to, making him the perfect hero.
