Four-time all-American Mikey Powell has a tremendous amount of skill and passion for the sport lacrosse. Determination and perseverance are two qualities shown by Mikey Powell that led him to success in lacrosse. It wasn't a walk in the park that led Mikey Powell to his success. He had to practice and practice. He believed in the saying "Practice makes perfect".

Mikey Powell is one of the most decorated NCAA lacrosse players to ever walk this planet. His determination and perseverance led him to become one of the most decorated NCAA lacrosse players. He was a four-time all-American at Syracuse University. He was also four-time attackman of the year; two time MVP of the NCAA lacrosse. He was arguably the best lacrosse player to ever play for Syracuse. He played at the professional level with the Boston Cannons in the 2007 season and was their top scorer with twenty seven goals, 21 assists, and was ranked fourth in the league for overall points.

Mikey Powell started to show how talented he was in college when he played lacrosse for Syracuse. He was their best player by far. He was their top scorer each year that he played for them. He was the all-time leader in overall points for Syracuse ever with 307. He was the first and only one to win the Jack Turnball award in division one lacrosse four consecutive times. He also won the Tewarraton Trophy two times and the trophy was the equivalent to the Heisman Trophy. He also led Syracuse to two national championships.

Mikey Powell has inspired me with his skill and passion for lacrosse. He inspired me to practice more. I never used to practice, but now almost every day when the weather is good I go out and practice for about an hour and a half. Mikey Powell has made me realize how talented I was in lacrosse. After my first year of lacrosse I thought about not playing next year. Then I started to watch lacrosse on TV and I saw Mikey Powell. I heard what the announcers were saying about him and I decided to look him up. When I saw that he had earned so many awards I was determined to be as good as him. I played lacrosse the next year and I am thankful that I didn't quit. I have become one of the best on my team. He truly inspired me to practice and become like him. I plan to keep playing lacrosse all throughout my life. My goal is to become as good as him or even just close.

Mikey Powell has been a big inspiration in my life. He has made me more determined to practice and become better. Ever since I heard about Mikey Powell I have practiced on my skills. His determination and perseverance have brought him a long way and I hope my passion for the sport of lacrosse will carry me as far as it carried him.
