The person whom I admire the most in the world is not a hero. He has a simple life, and he is as well-known as you might be. Despite the fact that he is my role model, he also have several faults. So, who is this person, and why did I make up my mind to choose him and to describe him?

He is the first child of my family. That may enable you to guess that this little story deals with my older brother, doesn't it? Spending his first years in the charming city of Avignon, Mathieu quickly discovered the world around him. As soon as school finished, he met up with friends again, running across the old town and longing to find all the sweets possible! Later, my family grew with the arrival of my sister Emilie. Given that my father had to change his job, the whole family moved to Lathuile, which is a traditionnal mountain village in the departement of Haute-Savoie. There, my brother grew up and became a teenager. He did a lot of activites, including skiing, playing football and of course playing with friends. He also enjoyed swimming, as we were living near a lake. I was born there, in the pink house, and I can assure you that we had a pink vision of life. The family then adopted another child, who was for me another older brother: Samuel.

After that, we moved again to settle in Grenoble. Mathieu could there become an adult. He finished high school with congratulations, and he chose to study sciences. The hard work that he was providing in order to get into a famous Engineer's school didn't prevent him from having it his own way. He could keep on skiing, riding, and living at home. Then, at the age of 19 years old, he left our family because he meant to live a student life. Of course, he didn't stop working as hard as possible, but he really invested himself in associations. He volunteered in many groups, and he did journalism, choir, ski, relief work, and so on. This way he could meet a lot of people and he was bound to be the more appreciated people of his school when he graduated. Because of when he was born, my brother was one of the last who had to do the national service. However he didn't want to learn to fight. Therefore he decided to leave France and to do military cooperation, which means that he could work in a firm in Slovenia, in the name of France. He spent one year and a half in the little town of Novomesto, and then he came back to France. Even though he enjoyed his job in Renault in Lyon, he missed Slovenia, and travelled a lot in Eastern Europe. In 2003, he moved to Paris and nowadays lives there with his girlfriend Émilie. Both of them are working on the Renault firm and have fallen in love with Slovenia...

As you now know his life, you're maybe still wondering: But why such a model? That's just simply a life! I know this. However, I still admire him. In fact, I think that I can take it for granted that I first admired him when I was nine years old. He was then an eighteen-year-old young man, and he appared to me to be the coolest person in the world: he was listening to techno-music (so did I, because I wanted to like the same things!) and he enjoyed watching the TV-show "The Simpsons" (so did I, of course!). He couldn't stand eating mushrooms (neither did I, but is it useful to say it?) And of course he had a lot of friends, and with his pretty blue eyes and his wonderful face, I didn't doubt that he would easily succeed in finding love-affairs! So, when he left home, whereas I was just a little girl, I think that it was all the more difficult for me as I was young, and I cried a lot. When he went to Slovenia and I realized that I wouldn't see him for months, that gave me such a shock! That's why I think that I kept in mind that he was a great person. And after that, I actually always admired him because he travelled a lot in Eastern Europe, he is ambitious, outgoing and really ressourceful. I know that he takes care of himself and of his girlfriend, who now has an illness, so I can assume that he proves himself to be a sensitive boy. And, the best of all his qualities, is that this jolly person always makes me laugh, so that I can't help laughing!

As a conclusion, I want to say that everybody can be a hero for somebody else, even if he doesn't make famous things. I'm convinced that having great beliefs is more admirable than holding a world record!
