Molly the Three Legged Pony

Have you ever seen a three legged pony? Molly was abandoned by her owners after Hurricane Katrina. She was attacked by a Pit Bull. Molly the three legged pony is courageous because of her hardships. She had one fake leg, and is a inspirational pony.

It was the year 2005, Hurricane Katrina destroyed the city of New Orleans. Doctors at LSU, overwhelmed by the aftermath from the hurricane, almost refused to treat Molly. Molly seems to have one special gift - with kids who are a little different. Molly went to a camp for cancer kids and inspired them to not give up. Molly the three-legged pony is courageous.

Molly was taken to Louisiana State University for help. The doctors didn't want to help her. They finally agreed to help her by giving her a prosthetic leg. Prosthetic means: artificial body part. Molly was getting a new right front leg! Molly got money donated from Humane Society and Lifesavers Inc. (Dolasia). Without their help Molly could not have gotten a new leg.

Molly is an inspirational pony to many people. Molly's job is to go to shelters, nursing homes, and hospitals. To go anywhere anyone needs hope. (The Pandosy Vet). Molly loves to work with kids who are a little different. Let me give you an example... Ben. Ben had bone cancer and had to have his right leg removed when he was just seven. Ben met Molly at a cancer camp. Kim, Molly's owner, said the two just connected. Ben said that seeing Molly doing well helped him. He said he could handle this one, the next day he went back to school. (Strassmann).

Molly, the three legged pony, is courageous because of the hardships she experienced. Because she survived the Hurricane, the Pit Bull attack, and the leg surgery, she is inspirational to any people. I don't know if I could survive the Pit Bull attack or the hurricane, could you?
