Randy Moss

by Sam from Columbus, Ohio

Randy Moss is a wide recever for The New England Patriots. He was born on Febuary 13, 1977 in West Virginia. He is famous because he plays pro football. He went to jail after high school, missed the opportunity to go to the college of his choice and overcame these disappointments and eventually played professional football.

I admire Randy because he is good at football. He is considered by many to be one of the best football players in the National Football League.

During his senior year, Randy was named State Athlete of the Year. He had 109 catches and 44 touchdowns during his high school career. After he graduated, Notre Dame offered him a scholarship. Before he started college he was involved in a fight. He pled guilty, his 30-day jail sentence was suspended, and although he received probation he lost his scholarship. He made a few other mistakes because of bad choices but finally landed at Marshall.

At Marshall, Moss played football and set many NCAA Division I-AA records. The Minnesota Vikings made him their first round pick although many teams avoided him because of his earlier issues.
