Mr Gibbs

My hero is the dog Mr Gibbs. He is the best friend of Alida Knobloch a 3 year old girl. He gives her a normal life.

Alida is sick. She needs an oxygen tank to help her breath. Once her father saw a TV program about service dogs. He thought of a dog carrying an oxygen tank.

Alida' parents visited Ashleigh Kinsleigh who trains service dogs. She began training a dog who was to take care of an especially young girl.

Now Mr Gibbs has become the little girl's constant companion. His job is to carry around a 6 pound oxygen tank, to go wherever Alida goes, to do whatever she does. 

She is free to roam and play with other kids. Mr Gibbs is a doting dog. Alida's parents tell he is "just awesome help for her".
