My hero is Mrs.D, who is a teacher at my school. She is an inspirational person and very encouraging. She is my hero because she encourages me every day to always try my hardest. Mrs. D is an optimistic and nice person.

My hero has done so many great things to help people out. She has started a mentoring program, talked to kids one on one to make them feel better, and genuinely cares for the well being of others. From experience, Mrs.D talks to students to make them feel better and helps them out with their personal problems. She started a mentoring program that allows girls and boys in younger grades to talk to people in older grades. The program helped many young boys and girls know that people really do care.

Mrs.D currently resides in Nashville,TN. She is a teacher at Knowledge Academies in the Antioch area. Mrs.D has been a great impact in my life. She has helped me (and other students) through tough times. She showed me that people do care. Although she is tough on us, she does it because she cares. Mrs. D didn't stop there though. She decided she wanted to do even more, so she started the mentoring program.

One day Mrs. D pulled me into her office along with several other girls, and told us she was starting a mentoring program. She asked if we would like to be mentors. I was excited about the idea of helping someone out. Thanks to her, this imapcted my life in a positive way. I learned what other people had to go through and how to help them. If it weren't for Mrs.D I would never have been able to go through this wonderful experience.

Mrs.D has made an amazing impact on my life. She deserves to be called a hero simply because she helped. She not only helped me, but so many other people. I'm truly thankful to have had her in my life.
