My mom, Kristina Hamilton

She was born in Atlanta, Georgia. My mom lived with her parents Doris Washington and Gary Adams. She was an only child, but had numerous friends. Her best friend was Kelly Aston or as I refer to her Aunt Kelly. My mother would always tell me that Aunt Kelly was like a sister to her, so in a way you could say she had a sister. My mom is an extremely intelligent person, so she was always hoping to attend an actual school, and that dream finally came true. At the age of five, my mom attended Seymour Elementary School. Throughout the years of her elementary school she never had any grade  below a B, so basically she was a star student.

My mom would always say that elementary, middle, and high school will always be easy as long as you do your work and listen to your teacher.  Once high school was over, my mom had already registered at a college named Iowa State University, or ISU for short. After four years of college, my mom earned her Bachelor's degree and married my dad Shaun Hamilton. After a couple of years of love and happiness I was born; Devion Hamilton. While I was growing up my dad went to work in the army and my mom stayed at home and took care of the house while I was at school. After about two years, my mom was pregnant again with my little brother Amere. Two years later my youngest brother Jelani was born. After all that my mom was the only girl in the whole house with four other boys.

After a pretty good heap of years my mom and dad got a divorce and went their separate ways. By the time I got in fourth grade my mom found a good paying job, we found a real nice apartment, and we lived there for a whole year. Once I got to the middle of the year in fifth grade we moved into a five bedroom house which I currently live in.

I chose my mom for my hero because, even though my mom is a single mother of three boys and raises all of us by herself, that makes her a model for me. Mom, I salute you.
