Nicholas Jerry Jonas was born September 16, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. He is 5'6". His favorite food is steak, favorite color-blue, favorite sport-baseball. His hobbies include music, songwriting, baseball, collecting baseball cards, tennis, golf. Instruments he plays - guitar, drums, piano.

The world shocked when Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in November of 2005. Nick was then 13 years of age. He was losing a lot of weight, drinking excessive amounts of water, and having frequent trips to the bathroom when Nick began to notice. His family began to see changes in his attitude as well. He did not share his disease with the world until 2007.

"Why me?", is what Nick would find himself saying in the beginning, but after a while he began to say, "Why not me?" He used his diabetes as a way to help and inspire other kids living with the disease.

Nick Jonas is seen in Disney TV shows, on albums, and helping around the community. One of my favorite songs by Nick Jonas is.... Who am I?.. here are the lyrics:

Who I am.

I think of him as my hero because his lyrics are meaningful. In some eyes they see Nick Jonas as a huge TV star. Not me. In everything he does, he puts others before himself. THAT is a hero to me. Nick Jonas is my hero.
