Nancy Knowlton

"She is the co-founder of Smart Technologies....... Nancy Knowlton!", the awards show announcer yelled in a very creepy voice. Did you know-lton that I have never thought about Ms. Knowlton until this cool assignment. As soon as my teacher, Ms. Cable, told me to choose a hero, I thought about the Smart Board. This thought led to Ms. Knowlton, she will create a journey for me. A journey to answer these few questions:

1. What is Nancy Knowlton's biographical information?
2. what characteristics and actions does Ms.Knowlton display?
The last question is personal.
3. How has Nancy Knowlton made a difference in my life?

Well, I guess I should go do some research before I try to answer these questions!

The Canadian angel was born, a blessing was sent to Earth to help advance modern technology! Ms. Knowlton was born in Canada in 1954. She is now the co-founder of Smart Technologies, she has also been CEO since 1987. Her partner in founding is David Martin. She has also attended Bishop's University, and Saint Mary's University. A few awards Smart Technologies have received under Ms. Knowlton's direction include:

Have your parents ever said to you, "Actions speak louder than words." Well, it is absolutely true! Nancy Knowlton has made very good choices for her actions, her characteristics are very amazing, too. Such as, founding and being executive director of the SMARTer Kids Foundation which is a private organization that provides opportunities for students and teachers to learn new skills by placing technology, grants and programs at their service. She must also be an extremely hard worker because she has helped majorly by improving technology and now students can learn more. Also, with the Smart Board we can go Eco-friendly! Ms. Knowlton is an extra hard worker because she has to take on the responsibilities of the president and CEO! She must be very smart because she has made another smart choice by going to two colleges. These colleges are Bishop's University and Saint Mary's University. I would love to be in her shoes!

Hold on to your hats and don't say, "too much info!" My last question is, "Why is Ms. Knowlton a hero to me?" My answer to this question is simple, she is a hero to me because she is very smart. I know this because she has been to two different colleges! Also, her intelligence has paid for her nice house. Did you know her annual compensation is $756,040? Just remember that hard work in school give you a nice check and house! Another reason is because she has received numerous awards, and she has been director since 1987. These are just a few reasons of why she is considered a hero to me!

Nancy Knowlton is considered a very good example of a hero - smart and makes good choices! Well, I guess I have made it to the end of my journey. Just to be sure, let's make a checklist:
