Nicki Minaj was born on 1984 on December 8 at Queens, NY. When she was in her childhood it wasn't too good. Her Father used to be an addict to drugs. Nicki Minaj & her family were homeless for some time. Her father tried putting their house on fire to kill her mom & that's when Nicki Minaj's relationship with her dad fell & her relationship with her mom grew. She started acting at La Guardia High school. But she started as a backing vocalist for other singers.

Nicki Minaj is my hero because when she was smaller she went through the time of being homeless for a couple months, She has been through near death experience when her dad tried killing them by putting their house on fire, and then she also went through a time with no food or money and her family and her survived and look at her now, she's a famous rapper. I didn't like Rap until I heard her music. Her music is inspiring too. She showed me that even with obstacles in your life you can still succeed. Nicki Minaj inspires me. I want to be a singer like her too.
