Nick Vujicic

When we were discussing heroes in my English class, one of the first people that crossed my mind was Nick Vujicic. He actually visited my home country twice and I was only aware of it the second time, in September 2016, when I watched him on TV. I was blown away from his speech and everything he is fighting for, I took him for an inspiration and I follow his work from that time on.

Nicholas James "Nick" Vujicic is an Australian Christian evangelist and motivational speaker born with phocomelia, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of legs and arms. He was born on the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne, Australia. Both of his siblings were born normal and there was no logical medical explanation for his disorder. Although he was living quite differently, he said he had an "amazingly normal childhood". In his teenage years he was often bullied and that's exactly about what he is talking around the world.

He runs an international non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs, whose mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ through Nick's own life. He also wrote a couple of books and played in some movies. He has a beautiful wife Kanae Miyahara and together they have two sons and live in Southern California.

He gives amazing, inspiring speeches that make you think and question your bad intentions towards someone you do not know. He is focused primarily on young audiences, he is fighting against bullying in schools. He saved many lives by teaching youngsters how to listen, care and love each other. He talked in front of people from all around the world, millions of people have heard him and successfully also listened to his words. There are still many countries for him to visit. He is a great hero to many kids and teens from everywhere, since I have never seen a man coming from such conditions, being so happy, not feeling sorry for himself, but giving others hope and inspiration that anything can be positive if only you think good.
