Her father drunk, alcoholic, and did drugs, and once tried to kill her mother by setting the house on fire.

I picked Nicki Minaj as my hero because she doesn't care about other people's opinion. Also, she is very confident in herself. She didn't let her childhood change what she wanted her dream to be. Nicki Minaj took female rap to a whole other level.

Nicki Minaj is somebody I can look up to because when she tells other girls out there that they can do it. They probably can. She tells people if she can do it then you can do it. She always likes to put smiles on other people's faces just like hers.
