Oprah has been a huge hit from her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show but she is now starring in a HBO film called The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks. She is starring as Deborah Lacks, the daughter of Henrietta Lacks. Deborah is on a mission to figure out who is her mother, she soon figures out her mother is deceased. The doctors said her grandparents were desperate for money so they sold her cells. Deborah was still confused so she continuously asked why her mother's cells were so important to their study. They said "In 1951, the unauthorized cells nicknamed "HeLa" cells by scientists, were harvested and used to develop the polio vaccine, cloning, gene mapping, in vitro fertilization, and more."(MAKERS Team 4)

Oprah has come so far in life. Oprah is a billionaire all because of her TV show "The Oprah Winfrey Show". She broadcast her show in Chicago. Her show has been a big hit all over the U.S.A.

Oprah came from a not so fortunate family. Her mom was a maid and her dad was a barber. When she was little she was sexually molested by some of her male relatives which means she was sexually abused by her relatives. When she was older she struggled with drugs and a family.
